Welcome to The Flairhunter Edit, where I share all the flair on my radar each month. If you love what you see, forward the flair to a friend!
The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes. – Marcel Proust
If you know me, it’s no surprise that travel is literally my greatest passion. Whether it's an international trip to an exotic destination or a simple road trip, I love every journey.
From a young age, my parents took my siblings and me everywhere. We often visited my grandparents in France and Norway, exploring culture-rich European cities. Stateside, we piled into our old school International Harvester Travelall (an oversized wood-paneled station wagon, long before the days of SUVs and minivans) to travel from California to Colorado, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico, and beyond. While there were specific destinations, it's the journeys I remember most. I loved experiencing the unique personalities of each new town, meeting interesting people, swimming in motel pools, and exploring the candy and snack sections at pit stops along our routes. As an adult, my husband and I have taken numerous road trips, hauling trailers of home décor and art from home to home. We even moved our son and his girlfriend cross-country from Utah to New York in a three-car caravan plus a U-haul.
In the sky, I love the "wheels up" feeling on a plane - the sense of suspended reality, the chance to sit with my thoughts, and the break from everyday life. But, I keep coming back to the road trip memories. I love the open highways, the vistas, the, at times, scratchy radio stations, the playlists (check out my latest Old School Nostalgia vibes below! ), and audiobooks. Married for almost 33 years, my husband and I recently became audiobook enthusiasts, sharing the experience of listening to historical fiction and solving detective stories together. There's something special about the hours to think, daydream, and have spontaneous conversations with travel partners or strangers met along the way. The best conversations often happen with a seat belt across your body, and many artists have created their greatest work from the spark of imagination fostered on long solo drives. Supposedly there is something about traveling that opens new neural pathways, sparking emotional and creative inspiration while we are in motion. I believe it.
Travel exposes us to different cultures, beliefs, styles, and culinary experiences, nudging us to realize we're not the center of the universe. It reveals the stark contrasts between our daily routines and those of people in other towns, cities, states, and countries. Yet, the more we open our minds to the differences, it is also easy to begin noticing our surprising similarities. That's the beauty of travel—celebrating our differences and our sameness.
Every trip I pack and plan for, no matter how familiar, excites and challenges me to see things with new eyes. Even revisiting places from childhood, I still gain new appreciation and expand my understanding of people. I’ll never stop traveling as long as I can. Put me on a bus, plane, boat, bike, or train—I'll be there. And be careful inviting me anywhere because I’m always ready to say yes!
What about you? How has travel changed you? What are your biggest surprises, lessons, and favorite places?

Design Tip of the Month
Need some inspo for creating the perfect summer table? Here’s my hot tip. Don’t be afraid to mix highs and lows (and don’t be deterred by windy days!).
Combining fine china and sterling silver with everyday accessories and linens? No problem! Don’t save the fancy pieces just for special occasions. It elevates the experience, instantly upping the flair factor. I promise!

Travel: Flair in the Air
Atlanta, Georgia
Looking for a vibrant city with a unique blend of Southern hospitality and modern flair? Atlanta is the perfect destination. With a rich history, diverse culture, and arts scene, this city offers something for everyone. Whether you’re a foodie, outdoor lover, or want to shop till you drop, Atlanta's dynamic neighborhoods will captivate you. Keep scrolling for the coolest spots to eat, shop, and play.
Where I stayed
There is no shortage of fabulous places to hang your hat when visiting this dynamic city; here are two that are top of my list...so far. If you have favorites, share them in the comments!
Hotel Clermont - an historic boutique hotel located in the heart of Atlanta on the iconic Ponce de Leon Avenue, this hotel perfectly blends vintage flair with modern luxury, making it a fun and funky place to stay. I love how they’ve preserved the building’s authentic character while offering a high-end experience for guests. Enjoy a cocktail with stunning panoramic views at the rooftop bar or indulge in the eclectic cuisine at Tiny Lou’s, which is a must-visit even if you’re staying elsewhere—be sure to make a reservation!
Hotel Clermont also has a not-so-secret secret basement: a hidden gem with a very strict “no photos” policy that has made it a favorite haunt for celebs.
St. Regis - nestled in the heart of Buckhead, an upscale area of Atlanta, this hotel with its stunning decor and attention to every detail, never disappoints. Of course, it’s obvious to expect the best at a St. Regis property, but I would be remiss not to include that I had the best massage of my life at their spa. The spa's tranquil atmosphere has expert therapists who will leave you feeling transformed. Whether you're looking for a quick refresh or a full day of pampering this is a must, even if you don’t stay at the hotel.
Where I Ate
Beetlecat, Atlanta
So many restaurants and not enough time; this city is foodie heaven! These are the ones that topped my list. Definitely to be added to during future visits…
Beetlecat - located in the Inman Park area of Atlanta, this restaurant has it all - a high vibe, great interiors, and fabulous oysters. There are two levels; the upstairs/main dining area is light, bright, and absolutely delightful, but the lower level, called The Den has a speakeasy tiki vibe I can’t get enough of. Not a fan of oysters? That’s okay because they also have so much more on their menu. Try their donut brunch on the weekends!
Delbar - also in Inman Park, just off the Beltline Trail. Chef and owner, Fares Kargar, accidentally found his way to be a restauranteur and I’m so happy he did. Originally from Iran, his menu is authentically Persian and utterly delicious. Bring a group and come hungry!
Five Daughters Bakery - I’m going to keep this short, sweet, and to the point. They make a 100-layer donut. It comes in many flavors. You have to try it. The end.
What I Did
There’s no shortage of things to see and do in Atlanta! Here are a few of my favorites.
The Beltline Trail - this 22-mile urban trail is built on a previously unused rail system. The Eastside Trail is my favorite. It’s lined with restaurants, cafes, art installations, galleries, and parks, so it’s a great way to spend a day and get your steps in. Many of the spots on this list are accessible directly from this trail.
The World of Coca-Cola - don’t get caught asking for Pepsi products while you’re in Atlanta. Get a history of the hometown beverage with a tour of the World of Coca-Cola. It’s a fun, informative, and interactive experience for people of all ages, even if you don’t drink soda! But, if you do, I dare you to try the Beverly. I thought Utah loved soda, but Atlanta is next level.
The Clothing Warehouse - is nestled in an eclectic area of Atlanta called Little Five Points. So many great vintage clothing and record stores are in this small pocket of town (as well as some fun dive bars for the brave). My favorite shop is The Clothing Warehouse. It’s the perfect place to hunt for a beloved, perfectly worn-in band tee. All items are organized by color and they have an entire floor-to-ceiling wall of vintage cowboy boots. Being inside this store makes my brain happy.
Sid and Ann Mashburn - located in Westside Provisions, this shop has exceptional tailored basics for men and women. Don't miss Ann's collection of layering pieces, especially the suede safari jacket. It's one of those magic pieces that somehow works on all body types, in all seasons. Shopping here is an experience. Not only is there an open kitchen style on-site tailor; they have backgammon and ping pong, play great music, and there is always a cold Pellegrino (or a Bulleit and Coke) at the ready for you while you shop.
Scott’s Antique Market - my personal version of American Pickers. It happens one weekend per month, located at (and around) the Atlanta Expo Center. You can find wild, wacky, and wonderful vintage of all types and price points. Vendors travel from all over the southeast to sell their latest finds - from 19th-century English Provincial dining sets to taxidermy rodents wearing tuxedos. Don your most comfortable walking shoes, block out a full day, and enjoy the hunt for flair.
Wear Your Flair
When packing for trips, I prefer versatile pieces that easily transition my look from day to night without requiring a complete outfit change. This approach saves time and valuable luggage space, leaving room for hauling your vacation purchases home.
This summertime look will take you from a full day of shopping and gallery-hopping in the city to winding down with dinner, and roof-top drinks. Just a quick stop at the hotel is all that's needed to refresh, swap out your shoes and bag, and replace your hat with a chic clip to hold a low bun. In a blink, you're ready to hit the streets again just in time for your 7 PM reservation!

Flair for Wellness
What I’m loving this month… face oil.
I have two favorites that I alternate between, so I’m sharing both.
Summer Fridays Heavenly Sixteen - this all-in-one face oil conditions, plumps and helps boost skin's elasticity. The quick-absorbing, formula delivers instant moisture and radiance to give my super dry skin a healthy, glow.
OSEA Day Glow Face Oil - I truly glow all day long when I use this seaweed-infused face oil. I love the dewy, glazed finish, and it makes my skin feel super soft. Great for dry, sensitive skin.

What I’m Reading
The Friday Afternoon Club - I’m a sucker for a good memoir, and this is one I couldn’t put down. It’s a story about family, strife, hardship, and forgiveness, with love underscoring it all. Even the troubling and sad memories are infused with the perfect dose of humor. Beautifully written, with the audio version narrated by the author, it's filled with SO many stories of recognizable Hollywood celebrities from past decades. A must-read to bring on your next plane flight!

Five O’Clock Flair
If you love the taste of Aperol like I do, try this trick I found on Instagram from liveeatlearn, to easily mix up a quick spritz in seconds. These Aperol Spritz ice cubes are now a staple in our freezer!
And, if a Mocktail is more your thing, don’t add the Aperol to the cubes, just the juices. Freeze those, and add them to sparkling water.
To make enough cubes for up to 10 cocktails you’ll need:
2 cups Aperol
1 cup orange juice
1 cup lemonade
Your favorite Prosecco
Orange wedge
Combine orange juice, lemonade, and Aperol in a pitcher, then pour into ice cube trays. Freeze. When ready to use, add a few cubes to your favorite glass of prosecco and serve with an orange wedge.
Cheers!
Omg!! The Aperol Spritz ice cubes are genius 🤯
